It does seem such a long time since my last post - I have been very busy with my Clinical Aromatherapy studies, some publicity work, more CPD training and life in general!
I am 3/4s of the way through the Clinical Aromatherapy diploma. It's very exciting for me and I can't believe how much I have learnt. I am very proud to be the first person to do the online course. It's a very detailed, expensive program, and at the end I will have full insurance to be able to make bespoke aromatherapy prescriptions for you to use at home and me to use during your treatments.
The PR activities I have been focusing on have included a really exciting bit of news - I'm going to be in a book! I was so excited to be chosen as one of the #SheCan365 women. Day 341 in fact!
Click the photo or the link below to read my story and took take a look at the others - very inspiring women!
The project was initially an online one, created by Michelle and Christian Ewen who wanted to write 365 words each about 365 women over the course of a year.
They worked incredibly hard to achieve their goal and then with the help of crowdfunding efforts, we all had the good news that the stories will be printed in a book coming out next month!
In between all of this I did find time to add to my specialist reflexology skills, by attending a 2 day course covering reflexology lymph drainage techniques. It was very interesting and has given me some additional skills to use, which will particularly benefits clients with lymphomdema - specifically swelling of the arm/s (following breast cancer surgery) or the legs and feet. It is also useful for my clients with fibromyalgia and other autoimmune diseases. I have to do one case study, but have actually lined up three, so I'll bring some more news on that in March or April.
Last month along with Jackie Grant of http://www.wegrantfitnessandhealth.co.uk/ we launched Waltham Forest's first Menopause Cafe. It was a HUGE success and I invite all local women to come to the February and March events. We will be running them monthly, and in February we have a menopause coach as a guest speaker. I also attended a #makemenopausematter conference and I would ask you to have a look at this petition and sign it if your heart tells you too....
If you would like to come along to one of the Menopause Cafes then please book your ticket here:
